Greetings!
I am Ms. Amber Hoffman. This is my 11th year at Braham Area High School (13th year overall). I teach Biology, Forensic Science electives (Forensic Biology and Crime Scene Investigation), and for the first time ever -- Chemistry! I truly enjoy being with young people and helping shape them into successful young adults. It is my mission to help students find a love for science and to prove to themselves that in a traditionally challenging field, they not only can succeed, but thrive. I find that I can foster these stills and more on the track and in the field, too, as their head coach!
In my spare time, I love to read, learn, stay physically active (running, walking, lifting, etc.), play with our cat (Tallulah) and dogs (Blue and Bella) and keep up with our garden. This summer, we harvested TONS of cucumbers, zucchini, and peas (with some pumpkins and cantaloupe along the way). My very favorite activity though is spending time with my family, especially my seven-year-old daughter, Emilia.
I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Biology/Secondary Education from the College of St. Scholastica in 2012 and my Master of Education in Curriculum/Instruction and Science Education from Concordia University-Portland in 2019.
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. Stay POSITIVE. Reach out to your teachers for anything and everything! More than anything, we want our Bombers to succeed!
