Hello! My name is JeanAnn Mattson, and this is my fifteenth year teaching at Braham Area Schools. I taught kindergarten for one year, first grade for nine years, and I'm starting my fifth year teaching sixth grade.

I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Augsburg College and my master’s degree from the College of St. Scholastica.

Braham Area Schools has always been a special part of my family's story. Both of my parents graduated from Braham, my husband and I are Braham graduates, and our two daughters and son are also proud Braham graduates. Braham Schools have been part of our family for three generations! We now have one granddaughter who brings so much joy to our family.

As a teacher, my goal is for your child to feel safe, valued, challenged, and successful every day. I want my classroom to be a welcoming place where students enjoy coming to school, work hard, build confidence, and develop a love for learning.

I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, growing, laughing, and making memories together!
