A/V Production_Equipment Setup Instructions
STEP 1: Choose a secure location to set up and use the A/V Production equipment. Plan to leave it in place for the week to avoid unnecessary wear, tear and potential damage to the equipment. You will need a table that is at least 4-5 ft long. Plus another table or desk for the “talent” to place their table-top microphone stand(s). They may also choose to stand using the stand-up mic stand, instead.
STEP 2: Locate and open the large PELICAN cargo case. Remove the two camera bags and two tripods. Setup the tripods to the desired height (making sure that all adjustment knobs are securely tightened, BEFORE attaching the cameras in STEP 3).
STEP 3: Remove the cameras from their bags. Make sure the tripod adapter (located on the bottom of the camera) is securely attached, BEFORE attaching it to the tripod. Attach the camera(s) to the tripods. Make sure the cameras are secure (rigid, does not wobble at all) while attached to the tripods. Locate the Power cords and plug them into the cameras and wall outlet. Locate the two 25ft HDMI cables. Plug one cable into the HDMI port on each camera, then plug the other ends into ports labeled HDMI 1 & HDMI 2 on the back of the TC Mini.
STEP 4: Place the Audio Mixer (1202VLZA) on the table and attach the power cord.
STEP 5: Place Video Monitor on table. Connect the power cord and 6 ft HDMI cable to the rear of the monitor.
STEP 6: Locate and Open the case labeled “NewTek” TriCaster Mini. Place the Tricaster TC Mini “Box” on the table, next to the Video Monitor, attach the power cord. Place the Tricaster Production Switcher, Keyboard, and Mouse on the table in front of the Video Monitor, attach the USB cable to the back of the Switcher and the other end to the back of the TriCaster Mini. Attach the Keyboard and Mouse to the USB ports on the back of the TriCaster Mini. Locate and Plug the Multiview Output adapter into the port labeled ‘1’ on the back of the TC Mini, then Plug the HDMI cable from the video monitor into the Multiview Output adapter.
STEP 7: Locate the microphones, stands and mic cables; place them in the desired locations, attach mic cables to the microphones and connect the other ends to the Audio Mixer Channels Mic 1 & Mic 2.
STEP 8: Locate and plug in the AC Power Strip (12 outlet) to the wall. Plug the following power cords into the power strip: Video Monitor, TriCaster Mini, Audio Mixer, & Cameras (if close enough to reach).
STEP 9: Press Power buttons on the TriCaster Mini, video monitor, audio mixer, & cameras.
STEP 10: Allow the NewTek TriCaster software to load.
