A "Classroom" Folder will automatically be created when you create a Google Classroom. Each Classroom has its main folder within Classroom and subfolders within the specific classroom for each assignment the teacher adds.
Want to use the same assignment with a different class or the following year? It's a simple process to find it and assign it again.
A teacher can also create an assignment and select a date and time in the future for it to be posted. This level of organization is a huge time-saver.
You can also give assignments that don't have any attachments. For example, you might give students directions in text or a video to participate in a math warm-up on the board. Once a student has completed the task, they can mark it as done.
ORGANIZATION TIP: Create a "Template Folder" in Classroom and add all templates to this folder. When you need a template for an assignment, you can easily nab the file and add it to the assignment. Now, it lives in two places - the Template folder and Classroom folder within the specific assignment you created.
