Good Afternoon BCVS Family! 

This is a long, information email - but there is a prize at the bottom, so read on! 

BCVS orientation is August 6th beginning at 12pm and we are extremely eager to see you.

You will meet:  

Kona ICE (wait until AFTER you take your picture!)

The Museum & Cultural Center at 5ive Points - Art Collab and Exhibition opportunity

Legacy Studios - School Portraits

Stem Explorers - Innovation Specialist, Betsy Clem

Leadership Council - School Counselor, Shanna Cochran

And....All of our teachers will be there to represent the interest club they facilitate and you get to choose!  

The orientation schedule for Wednesday, August 6th is:

12:00-12:30  Grades 6 & 7    

12:30 - 1:00  Grade 8

1:00 PM -  NEW to BCVS students -Mandatory Edgenuity Training & Intro to The Newsletter, The Flyer

1:30-2:00 Grades 9 - 11

2:00 Grade 12 

To make the orientation more productive, please have registration forms filled out and fees paid before you arrive.

Complete the following 5 forms: 

1. Registration (this was in the "Welcome to BCVS" email, you do not need to do this again)

2. Household Information

3. Technology Agreement

4. Acceptable Use Policy

5. Photo Release

Pay the following fees using our school store, linked HERE on the School Fees Page

• Materials, tshirt, and ID - $45

• Technology - $30 

You can pay for more than one student at a time through the school store as well! 

Prize At The Bottom:

Every student will meet with every BCVS teacher, choose a club preference, pay fees and collect their chromebook & t-shirt.  Students who complete all these tasks will be eligible for a door prize! 

If you pay your fees online, you will get an extra door prize entry! Just, make sure to have your confirmation email pulled up on your phone when you get to that station. 

Seniors: VERY IMPORTANT - Schedule an appointment for your senior portrait during orientation.  You must pre-pay the sitting fee and register for at time using this link: Legacy Studios Senior Portrait Appointment

You will purchase your photo package directly with Legacy Studios when they are ready. 

Please follow the guidelines for dress on the website, and wait to have Kona Ice until after your session is over!

8/11/25 - First day of Edgenuity

8/18/25 - First Week of class meetings

8/20 & 8/21  IReady Diagnostic - Mandatory in-person grades 6-8 8:30-11:30

9/24 & 9/25 Senior ACT Bootcamp - Mandatory, In-Person 4-6PM

9/30 Senior ACT Mandatory, In-Person 8-12pm
