Technology Management Plan

Mrs. Batres

Cell phone policy in room 315 is as follows:

No cell phone usage will be allowed in class unless a student has permission from me.  For example, if they need to look up a quick question or emergency contact information then I may allow them to use their phone because it is usually more time efficient.

Consequences for using a cell phone:

1. First offense                  - a verbal warning to put phone away and turn off

2. Second offense            - second warning, phone taken, counsel and parent contact

3. Third offense                - office referral

Technology allowed in room 315 is as follows:

Students have opportunities to use their chrome books to access google classroom and the internet for online educational programs. They will have permission to go on appropriate websites such as Google Classroom, SpringBoard Digital, Upfront Digital Magazines and i-ready to name a few. Students will also have opportunities to use their chrome books for research purposes, word processing documents, using spell/grammar check, creating power point or Prezi presentations, taking surveys, playing Kahoot, creating Flip grids, etc.

In addition, students will have access to technology through guided instruction. For example, when listening to grade level material read aloud via books on audio, when I project lessons onto the Smart Board, answering interactive comprehension questions as a group through SpringBoard Digital, watching educational videos (Upfront Magazines or YouTube) relevant to the lesson, etc.

Consequences for abusing internet usage:

1.First offense - a verbal warning will be given, and student will be redirected to the site they should be on

2.Second offense-student will be directed to log off their laptop and lose computer privileges and points for the day
