He also had a private tutor when he was a child. He went to the Ateneo de Manila, Sto. Jose Rizal is one of the most intelligent minds in the Philippines. He is one of the reasons why the Philippines became an independent country. Rizal was famous for his revolutionary perspective; you can see it in his novels like Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. He is also known for his quotes or lines, which are “Ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit sa hayop at malansang isda.” (Those who do not know how to love in their language are more than animals and fish.) It means that people should look for their origins or where they came from and love it. Somehow connected to those people who help us when we dont have that much, and we should not forget them because they are part of our journey to success. We don't become what we are now if they do not exist. That’s why Rizal said those kinds of people are more than those animals, who are unlikely to be capable of feeling certain things. The other saying of Rizal for the youth, “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.” (The youth is the hope of the motherland), was eventually proven as time passed. Youth have a lot of opportunities, and that is making a change, whether to follow the older generation, to learn from them, or do nothing but to depend on the government system. We should be taking the chance for the betterment of the future generation by starting within ourselves.
Thanks to the writings and novels of Jose Rizal, Filipinos were uplifted to fight for their freedom and their right to an education. Rizal is truly an amazing writer and good example for others. By his works and his sacrifices in helping the Filipinos until his last breath, he was awarded to be the national hero of the Philippines.
