Building Systems Design
CEPC0903 Building Systems Design
The lecture course focuses on building systems (plumbing, electrical, vertical transportation, security, fire, protection) including architectural design, life safety, technical documentations and the National Building Code and its referral codes. The building systems will also include different types and applications of building materials, assemblies, envelope system and diverse construction techniques. Sustainability principles’ impact on property lifecycle with industry-based case studies is incorporated. The laboratory class will focus on the tools and techniques to create a computer-generated building model and simulate building system.
