Spelling at home

Spelling lists go home at the beginning of the week (usually Mondays) when a new unit starts.

• My child needs more practice at home with spelling words, what can I do??

• Have your child write out their own index cards with the words to create flash cards.

• Quiz them on the words.

• Have them quiz you, a sibling, stuffed animal, pet, etc!

• Use shaving cream on a table and write the words in it!

• Put sand in a box to write the words in the sand.

• Use the colors of the rainbow and write out each word in rainbow colors.

• Draw a picture to match each word and write the word below.
