Hey everyone! I was born Jenifer Davis in Poplar Bluff, MO in 1981. From there my parents moved us to California and then to Ozark, Arkansas when I was in the second grade (1988). I grew up in Razorback country! *Whoooooo, Pig Soule, Razorbacks*
I graduated valedictorian from Pleasant View High School in 1999.
I attended Arkansas Tech University in nearby Russellville, AR and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in December of 2003. In January of 2004 I began my Master's Degree in History and graduated with my MA in May of 2011. I have since pursued my Masters in School Counseling from Arkansas State University with a graduation date of December 2021.
While I attended high school, I worked at a local Sonic drive-in. I acquired a second job in college as a local county dispatcher/jailer. I worked as an Assistant Manager at Sonic for six years and ended my career in law enforcement to take a teaching job at Hayti High School in 2006 where I taught all sorts of social studies classes.
I left Hayti High School in 2010 and became an 8th grade special education for two years at Kennett Middle School. Then in 2012 I transferred to the Kennett High School Campus where I stayed until May 2021. While at KHS, I taught Law & You, American Government and Advanced Placement Government.
I have 3 children: Hadley (age 11), Lawson & Delaney (age 8). My life if pretty crazy and chaotic. There is rarely a dull moment! And that's ok, I am grateful for all that God has blessed me. My life isn't perfect, but its perfect for me.
I am excited to be your school counselor and look forward to getting to know you!
Please feel free to contact me if you need anything! I look to working with you this year.
