I graduated from Illinois State University in 2010 with my Bachelor's Degree and began teaching that fall. The 2025-2026 school year is my 16th year teaching and my 10th year at Rotolo. In my years here, I have been fortunate enough to teach all three grade levels. Prior to starting in Batavia, I taught middle school just outside of Springfield as well as elementary and middle school just outside of Peoria. In May 2018, I completed my graduate program and earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Differentiated Instruction from American College of Education.Â
I am originally from the Peoria, Illinois area and will always have a special place in my heart for my small hometown of Dunlap. My husband, Chris, and I have been married since 2010, and we have two children at home. Aaron is 11 years old (in 6th grade) and Noah is 10 (in 4th grade). We live in Aurora, and our kids attend Oswego schools. We enjoy getting outside in the neighborhood for a walk, run, or bike ride to explore the parks and ponds in our neighborhood. My sister recently moved to the area, so my kids have enjoyed getting more time with their aunt. She is the only family we have locally, so we enjoy hosting other visitors in our home.
