  • 8/31/22 (Wednesday): Players' Meeting with Coaches during grade level rec time in Media Center (for new and returning players)

  • 9/6/22 (Tuesday): 1st Practice of the season (shorts, t-shirt, helmets, cleats)

  • 9/8/22 (Thursday): Parent Meeting 5:45PM in the Gym. Turn in your $10 for Dragons Helmet Decals DEADLINE

  • 9/11/22 (Sunday): Derby Football Gear Order DEADLINE (see Team Store tab above)

  • 9/28/22 (Wednesday): 1st Game @ Novi M.S. (LOSS 26-36)

  • 10/7/22 (Friday): Week 2 Game HOME (Seaholm) vs. Detroit Country Day 4:30 PM

  • 10/12/22 (Wednesday): Week 3 Game HOME (Seaholm) vs. Oak Park 4:30 PM

  • 10/14/22 (Friday): Team Pictures after school. Wear RED game jersey, red socks, pants for photos.

  • 10/19/22 (Wednesday): Week 4 Game AWAY at West Bloomfield 4:30PM

  • 10/21/22 (Friday): Tailgate games & food in Derby gym 3:30-4:45PM

  • 10/26/22 (Wednesday): *NIGHT GAME* Week 5 Game AWAY at Berkshire (Groves) 6:30PM

  • 10/28/22 (Friday): THE DRAGON BOWL (Intra-squad scrimmage @Derby) 3:30-5PM

  • 11/02/22 (Wednesday): Week 6 Game HOME (Seaholm) vs. Cranbrook 4:30PM

  • 11/03/22 (Thursday): Team Party walk to Grand Tavern 3:30-5PM


Derby Dragons Football Quick Facts:

  • One 7th & 8th grade combined team, everybody makes the team

  • Full tackle football (must purchase own cleats, mouth guard, and jockstrap)

  • Please purchase a gym lock from the office and store your football gear in a "varsity" locker in the boys' locker room.

  • Practice is daily after school until 5pm and takes place at Derby. Please pick up your child from the gym side parking lot by 5:15pm.

Volunteers needed for team snacks, beverages, and chain gang. No experience necessary!

The order deadline has past. All team gear orders are final. Coaches will notify you when gear is expected to arrive.
