Sheri Jesiel joined the board of education in 2019. Prior to joining the board, Sheri served for 4 1/2 years as the State Representative for the 61st district, with a focus on Education policy and funding. She was a member of the Evidence-Based funding commission, which produced the recommendations and policy that shaped the new funding law in 2017. Sheri earned a Bachelor's degree, double-majoring in Business Administration and Accounting, received her CPA designation and has employment background in Business Administration and Human Resources. Outside of job responsibilities, Sheri loves to be outside as much as possible - riding her bike, water/cross country skiing, puttering in the garden - and loves reading and working on all kinds of puzzles. Her three kids and 6 grandkids are her joy in life.
Marcia White was elected to the Board of Education in 2011. In April of 2019, she was selected to serves as Secretary. She is an active member on the Finance Committee and serves as a Governing Board member for SEDOL. She attended the University of Wisconsin –Madison where she received her Bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Math. She has a Master’s in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. She is also, a certified Speaker, trainer and coach in the area of Leadership with The John Maxwell Team. She facilitates an annual event in Lake County. She enjoys ballroom dancing and borrowing friends kids, spoiling them and giving them back to their parents.
Nicole Harris joined the Board of Education in 2020. She currently serves on the Long-Range Planning Committee. She is currently a Federal Employee with over 34 years of Federal Government experience leading Information Technology, Business transformation, Finance and Accounting, Strategic Planning, Continuous Process Improvement and Governance. Ms. Harris earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Business Management. She currently serves on the Ministerial Staff at the Mount Moriah Christian Center, Waukegan, IL. She is a certified speaker, trainer, coach, and DISC Behavioral Consultant with the John Maxwell Team. She loves teaching, coaching and mentoring individuals on Leadership and Personal Development. Nicole and her husband Dave, live in Winthrop, IL. She has 4 grown children and 2 beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys outreach activities and has a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Ashley Baillie joined the Board of Education in 2020. She attended Carthage College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sports and Physical Science with a minor in Health as well as Secondary Education. Ashley has grown up in Winthrop Harbor, IL where she and her husband, Anthony, currently live with their son. In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and being outside.
Andy Luther joined the Board of Education in 2000. He served 12 years as Board President. Has served on Long Range Planning Committee and Negotiations Committee. Has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and serves as the Chief Mechanical Engineer for The Grieve Corporation. Andy was raised in Zion and moved to Beach Park after college. In his free time, he likes to bike and boat. Andy and his wife Pam have two grown children, who are Beach Park District 3 school graduates.
Steven Lenzi joined the Board of Education in 2006. He has served previously as Vice-President and Secretary before being selected to serve as Vice-President again in 2019. He took some time off the Board of Education in 2020-2021 and was reappointed as a Board Member in July 2021. He currently serves on the Boards Long Range Planning and Facilities committee. He is a retired Fire Marshal for the City of Waukegan and has served at the Waukegan Fire Department since 1993. Steven is married and has two daughters who both attended Beach Park Schools and went on to be successful collegiate student-athletes as well. Steven was born and raised in the Waukegan and Gurnee areas before settling down in the Beach Park School District to raise his own family and looks forward to being a part of the bright future for our school district.
