In March and April 2021 we held two events to support our Asian American friends and neighbors. We had a town hall to talk about feelings and safety and followed that with a panel discussion of the experiences of Asian American community members. Both these events were a reminder that we often assume people are strong and fine but the aggressive actions and words daily they confront daily are emotionally taxing. We can help them by learning more about the diversity of Asian experiences, cultures, and histories, checking in on them, and standing up for them when we can.
