About Me

I'm very excited to be teaching United States history in Bow this year. I love learning about the past and happily spend a good deal of my free time reading works of history and visiting historical sites (as my family can attest). I'm looking forward to bringing my passion for history to Bow where I have lived for the past 14 years with my wife and three children.

Prior to coming to the Bow Memorial School, I taught U.S. history at Laconia Middle School for six years . Before that I was a student teacher in a year long teacher internship program at Ross A. Lurgio Middle School in Bedford. I came to teaching after making a career change having worked for ten years in a variety of positions in the field of Geographic Information Systems (digital mapping and databases). I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with bachelor's degrees in geography and history in 2000. In 2011 I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Master of Education in Secondary Education.

In my free time I like to spend time with my family, read, cook, exercise, and engage in a variety of outdoor activities. I also enjoy volunteering as an adult leader in Bow's Boy Scout troop, Troop 75, as well as serving in several capacities at my church.
