I earned my associates degree in English, Literature, and General Studies from Rio Hondo College in 2024 before transferring to Cal State Fullerton, where I completed my Bachelor's Degree in English (2025) and my Teaching Credential (2026). Having completed my student teaching right here in BOHS, I am honored to continue being a part of this wonderful community.

I am deeply passionate about English and Literature, and my goal as an educator is to foster an equitable, engaging environment where students build strong reading and writing skills, while also developing their academic voice in writing and analysis.

Class Overview
Class Overview
Literature and Composition is used as a basis for integrating the instruction of reading, writing, critical thinking, listening and speaking. Core texts are paired with short stories, poetry, non-fiction, and internet research to stimulate extended thinking and analysis. Cross-curricular and Character Education activities are also taught as vital components of the learning process throughout the year. This course is aligned with and incorporates the California Common Core State Standards.
