7:29pm and everyone is lined up ready for Lose Yourself, sung by Brianna, Lissy, Abby and Che. One minute later the music comes on, the lights dim and everyone walks with their heads down, walking to the beat. It was at Eastbank, which means there are roughly around 825 seats, but sadly we only sold 650. Still, a lot of eyes on a class of about 20 students.

The name of the Production was LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! Mr Gleeson, the best teacher ever, was in charge. SRG ( my class ) was 2nd up from Lose Yourself we did Happy first up from Despicable Me 2 by Pharrell Williams we had to wear something yellow. Next we did Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr from the movie Ghostbusters. We had to practice all of term three for this one night. It kicked off from 7:30 to 9:00.

SJO had I Will Survive and Ol Time Rock And Roll, SNB had Flash Dance Oh What A Feeling and Gangsta's Paradise, SAS had Footloose and Can't Stop The Feeling. The grade six classes had their songs; SGB had Greased Lighting and Jailhouse Rock, SMM had Wake Me up Before You Go Go and I Am Still Standing and SKP had Time Warp and Men In Black

Last but not least SBF had December 1963 Oh What A Night and Dynamite.

Not only was it scary but I felt nervous, happy and extremely scared. I thought I was going to faint when I saw how many people I didn't know were watching us. Backstage kids were dancing to catchy songs like Greased

Lightning. All in all it was pretty good backstage considering some of the things that happened. Kids were playing on phones, iPads, iPods and board games… hopefully no one lost anything.

It was a fun night and I wish to do it again.

Movie Mash Up

Some students put together a montage of some classic movie scenes to include as part of our production Lights, Camera, Action!

P.S. Here is the same Mash Up with the original scenes...
