1. Bird Watching and Binoculars/ Binoculares y Mirando Pájaros

Children learn about the different parts and structures of bird bodies and create binoculars to observe them. They use their fine motor skills to cut and attach cardboard and other materials to make their binoculars, and they learn new vocabulary and answer questions about birds they see outside.

Los niños aprenden sobre las partes y estructuras diferentes de los cuerpos de los pájaros y crean binoculares para observarlos. Children practice using new vocabulary as they answer questions, and they use math to graph the number of insects they see each day, as well as to count the numbers of legs the insects have.

Children read the book Make Way for Ducklings and then act out significant plot points, pretending to be characters in the story. They use vocabulary and demonstrate comprehension by sequencing the story events correctly, and they practice mathematics by using ordinal numbers to describe what happens first, second, third, etc.

Los niños leen abran Paso a Los Patitos y después actúan momentos significativos en la historia, jugando a ser los personajes en el cuento. Usan vocabulario y demuestran su comprensión creando secuencias correctas de los eventos dentro el cuento, y practican matemáticas a través de usando números ordinales para describir que pasa primero, segundo, tercero, etc.
