Your eighth grader is involved in Countdown to High School at the Ohrenberger School. They have received the following documents to share with you, but we wanted to make sure you have consistent access to them.
To make the best decision for your child, parents/guardians should familiarize themselves with types of schools, locations, specialties, and what they offer.

High School Preview Days have begun. This is an excellent way to get an early start in familiarizing yourself with the Boston Public Schools, Vocational Schools and Private Schools. Below you will be able to find a list of all offerings for Boston Public High Schools, out of district vocational schools supported by Boston Public Schools, an excellent private prep school and Boston Arts Academy, as they have a specialized application processes and programing.

October 2024 - February 2025 - Admissions Program Days will occur from October through February of the preceding school year.
Admissions Program Days include a presentation, tour, and an opportunity to complete the required Admissions Interview.
(The MA DESE considers this an excused absence and proof of attendance will be provided upon event check-in. )
Walk the campus grounds and speak with our teachers and students about their vocational programs. Programs include Animal, Marine and Veterinary Science, Environmental Science, Horticulture, and Agricultural Mechanics.
