Our New Core Values

Zones of Regulation

Mendell students will continue to deepen their understanding of the Zones of Regulation within our Social Emotional Learning Curriculum. The Zones of Regulation concepts and terminology are used school-wide across all grade levels.

The basis of the Zones of Regulation is that individuals can categorize the way they feel emotionally and physically into four zones. The Zones of Regulation teaches students how to identify feelings in themselves and others, and how to use coping skills to adjust their zone when needed. Please read the Zones of Regulation poster, glossary and family letter for more information.
