Meet your Teachers!

Ms. Taylor Knight




Kim Taylor Knight has a performance background in both theater and dance. A graduate of the University of Iowa, Kim studied ballet with Robert Thomas and Miyoko Kato, and performed in their yearly Nutcracker.


In 2017 Knight received a Fund for Teachers fellowship to study at the National Dance Institute, in New York City. She has also furthered her arts education for 3 years at the Lincoln Center Institute for Aesthetic Studies.


In 2022, she won the Andrew Lloyd Weber resource grant, to secure a new auditorium sound system to enhance learning for her middle school students, in technical theater.

Ms.Doherty

Ms. Doherty is so excited to be a part of the performing arts programs at the Curley K-8. Ms. D grew up doing theater and dance at her own after school prograns here in Massachusetts. After high school she got her Bachelor's Degree in Dance Education from Hofstra University. There she mainly studied modern and tap. After college, Ms. D set out to live her dream as a performer for Walt Disney World Entertainment! She has taught dance in public elementary schools in New York City, Lawrence, MA, and now in so excited to be back In Boston teaching dance! After school you can find Ms. D at Enchanted Dance Academy where she instructs jazz, musical theatre, and modern classes.

Jason Cammarata (aka Mr. J)

Jason Cammarata (aka Mr. J) comes from a musical family and has been performing for over 20 years. He graduated from Boston University in 2005, and has taught lessons on guitar, piano, bass, ukulele and drums. He has studied with musicians from all over the world, and recently traveled to Bangladesh to perform with up-and-coming artists in the Dhaka music scene. 


Mr. J worked in the Curley's ABA program for two years, and has also taught swimming and martial arts. He believes that movement is essential for learning, teaching and creating music, and is thrilled to be a part of the Performing Arts team!
