At the Conley, we believe every student deserves joyful, challenging, and engaging learning experiences. Our educators provide standards-aligned, grade-level instruction while using discussion, collaboration, visuals, and other supports to ensure all students can participate and succeed. We are committed to helping every child develop strong academic skills, confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
In kindergarten through Grade 2, Conley students build foundational literacy skills through the Focus curriculum. Students develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through purposeful play, engaging texts, phonics instruction, writing, and meaningful classroom conversations.
In the upper grades, students continue developing these skills through the EL Education curriculum. Students engage with high-quality texts, build knowledge, write for a variety of purposes, and participate in academic discussions. Across all grades, teachers provide the supports and scaffolds students need to access grade-level learning while maintaining high expectations for every learner
In K0 and K1, students develop early mathematical understanding through the Building Blocks curriculum. Children explore numbers, shapes, patterns, measurement, and spatial relationships through hands-on learning and purposeful play.
Students in K2 through Grade 6 use Illustrative Mathematics. This curriculum helps students build conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and strong problem-solving skills. Students explore multiple strategies, use mathematical tools and models, explain their thinking, and learn from the ideas of their classmates.
Conley students explore the natural world, ask questions, investigate ideas, and develop scientific thinking with instruction from our science specialist. Social studies learning helps students understand communities, cultures, history, geography, and their roles as thoughtful and engaged citizens. Across both subjects, students build knowledge through discussion, inquiry, hands-on experiences, reading, writing, and collaborative learning.
Conley students participate in Art, Physical Education, and Health as part of a well-rounded educational experience. These classes give students opportunities to express their creativity, develop movement and teamwork skills, learn about healthy choices, and build habits that support their physical, social, and emotional well-being.
At Conley, we believe all students belong and deserve meaningful access to grade-level learning. General education, special education, and multilingual learner educators work collaboratively to provide inclusive instruction, individualized supports, and opportunities for every student to participate fully in the school community.
Our student-support team partners with educators and families to address students’ academic, social-emotional, behavioral, communication, and health needs. Supports are designed around each child’s strengths and individual needs.
