As it is now evident, the academic year 2021-2022 is going to be an exiting one. As a 9th grader at the O'Bryant you are going to have the amazing opotunity to learn BIOLOGY in a year full of scientific data about the ongoing pandemic. Yes! Biology is one the most relevant fields at this time in the history of humanity. Think about it!
What is virus? How do vaccines work? What's the point of wearing a mask? Do physical distance really work? When can I resume my normal routine? Is this the last pandemic we are going to face? Did Covid-19 come from a lab? What is the difference between an epidemic and a pandemic? What is "herd immunity? Why some people infected with Covid-19 get really sick while others remain asymptomatic?
9th grade Biology will help you answer and clarify these and many others questions you might have about this pandemic. This "weird year" can become a scientific "blessing in desguise". That is because our Biology class will expose you to fascinating aspects of our natural world, including things as small as a "coronavirus" and as massive as the entire planet earth.
