Cartwheel
Cartwheel, is a mental health provider that offers teletherapy, family check-ins and guidance, and psychiatric care.
A licensed therapist or psychiatrist with no waitlist, within a matter of days;
Telehealth sessions from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., whenever is most convenient; and
Care in several languages, including
Completely free care for families who have Medicaid or are uninsured and considered an in-network provider for families with private insurance (standard co-payments and deductibles may apply).
Individual therapy sessions are available for students in grades 3+ and parent guidance sessions are available at all grade levels, providing families with the right level of support at the right time.

The library is hosting training to volunteer as a library assistant after school! Students must attend one mandatory training session listed below, and then can drop-in any afternoon in the library from 3-5 on Mon-Thurs or 1-3 on Fridays to volunteer as a library assistant. Students must go to a training session to become eligible to volunteer in the library for the Fall Semester. There are two training sessions left, both on Tuesday 10/21, either from 3-4 PM or 4-5 PM.
Academic Tutors are available every day after school in the library! BAA is proud to offer students after-school homework help every afternoon in the BAA library, and can assist families in getting virtual tutoring at home as well. Students can come to the library any day after school and ask for help with their homework.

Bullying Prevention & Intervention: Any BPS student who is experiencing any form of bullying should immediately notify a trusted member of school staff or contact the Safe Space and Bullying Prevention Hotline at 617-592-2378 by phone or text message anytime.
A doctor's note is needed every school year for a student to use the elevator and should include the following details:
Medical Necessity: The reason for using the elevator, such as an injury, surgery, or a documented mobility issue.
Duration: The start and end dates for the elevator usage, or the length of time the accommodation is needed.

Attendance and BPS Calendar
Attendance: All students are expected to be in all classes, on time. For excused absences, please
have your parent/caregiver send in a note to the main office, or they email baa-attendance@bostonpublicschools.org within 5 school days.
Request make up work from your teachers.
If an absence or tardy from a class is an unexcused absence, students will receive a 0 for missed work.
