The Boston Central Adult High School allows students to complete high school requirements while maintaining full-time jobs. We offer morning, evening, and virtual courses. Each school year is made up of two semesters. Semester 1 starts in September, and Semester 2 in February.
Morning classes are held Monday through Thursday at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, and 12:20 PM, and Friday classes begin at 9:00 AM. Evening classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 PM, 6:30 PM, and 8:00 PM.
Students must be at least 17 years old to join this program. Students who have taken and passed high school classes at other schools may transfer those credits and apply them to our graduation requirements.
To graduate from Boston Central Adult High School, students must fulfill all BPS graduation requirements and pass the ELA, Mathematics, and Science MCAS to meet DESE competency determination.

Spring semester starts in February 2025
The ESL program includes four levels of English from beginning to advanced, allowing people with any English speaking ability to learn more English. We also offer computer literacy classes. Additional, students have the opportunity to work towards earning their high school diploma.
Morning classes: Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:45 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Evening classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
