Ariel Mura entered Boston Latin School (BLS) as a 7th grader in 2019 and is currently a senior. The daughter of Italian and Haitian immigrants, she is passionate about international diplomacy and human rights. At BLS, in the realm of these topics, she is a member of Model United Nations, the Sid Topol Fellowship for Peace and Nonviolence, and Veracium’s political magazine, Voices of the Empowered. She plans to pursue international relations at university, studying Political Science and Human Rights at Columbia University’s Barnard College, and one day work in the United Nations. She has lived in Boston her whole life, but hopes to live abroad after college in either Rome, Italy, or Madrid, Spain, traveling often to visit friends and family around the world. In her spare time, you'll find her cooking while blasting music in her parents’ kitchen, reading the latest breaking news story in the New York Times, or watching K-dramas on Netflix.
A special thank you to Dr. Kelly Sample for being the best Capstone mentor a student could ask for, and to Ms. Paula Bowles and Ms. Kathleen Bateman for being fabulous class directors to us all.
