My best camp memory involves my cousins and I TRYING to stay up all night in our tent telling scary stories, and FAILING miserably.
BOB BARDWELL
Growing up my mom was a school teacher so there was no need for me to go to summer camp for child care reasons but I did go to a day camp literally a mile from my house for one or two weeks one year, probably when I was 10. While it was fun, I cannot say it was my favorite experience.
I am really looking forward to the MASCA School Counselor Summer Camp (SC2) because it combines the opportunity for summer professional development along with fun, networking with new colleagues and rejuvenation at a beautiful campus on the Atlantic Ocean.
Thank you for being part of this inaugural PD event. I hope you have a great experience and you will want to come back next year.

I am very much looking forward to camping together next week! I have been in school counseling for the past 22 years and still feel like I am always learning new things, meeting new colleagues, and maintaining a sense of curiosity professionally and personally!
I hope we can enjoy each other's insights, ideas, and more with the spend together in our small group and the many sessions, activities, and other opportunities with our time at Endicott College!

Welcome to MASCA's first SC2! My name is Mindy Cripps, and I'm excited to meet each of you. In my day job, I serve as the Director of School Counseling for Billerica Public Schools, and while I never attended summer camp as a child, I worked at a summer camp in my late teens and early twenties. Outside of summer camp, I enjoy paddle boarding, my Jeep, being in nature, and meditation & yoga. It's exciting to bring summer camp traditions together with fun and learning to build a community of counselors who will leave camp rejuvenated, with lifted spirits and happy hearts!

My favorite part of camping or being at summer camp is the water. As a young camper, I loved swimming and boating; later I was a waterfront counselor teaching those same skills. A river, lake or ocean makes the experience better!
ALI ROBIDOUX
I was a summer camp kid from the age of 5! I graduated to "overnight camp" in New Hampshire in my tween and teen years. When I turned 18, I was a camp counselor until after college. SOUND OFF!

My happy place is in the woods. Hiking, campfires, woodland creatures and sleeping underneath the night stars...it's where I feel most centered. Camp activities are just a bonus in the outdoors!

I am so excited for our inaugural School Counselor Summer Camp. We are such a diverse and talented group of individuals and having the opportunity to learn from each other and experience a new perspective is so exciting! Getting to do it in such a beautiful and relaxing environment is just a huge bonus!!!
