FAQ

If you have a question, check here first! Hopefully we have answered it! If not, please feel free to contact your advisor for any help!

What do I do if I need help? Either with school work or social/emotional support.

If you need help with grades/school work/struggling with the schedule or work load/etc. contact your advisor or a trusted teacher. We are ALL here to listen and help! Our goal is to make this year as "doable" as possible for you. If you are struggling mentally, socially, emotionally, etc. please reach out to a trusted adult. That could be a teacher, Regi, Kelton, Sims, Ms. Gaines - whoever but REACH OUT! We are here for you, always. All contact information can be found here.

What supplies do I need for the 11th grade?

For class, you need the following:

  • Your Chromebook and charger EVERY DAY!

  • Check the homepage for more supplies

Will I need my Chromebook?!

YES! Every single day. Teachers will be using paper and notebooks again but there will still be work online. Remember, we are a GREEN school and will be working to reduce our paper usage.

How are things graded?

The 11th grade team is grading assignments weekly on Jupiter. If you noticed that something is wrong with your grade (we are humans and probably miss things too!) please feel free to email or text us to discuss.

Where do I find my assignments?

All teachers are using Google Classroom to assign work. Check your Google Classroom page for assignments, missing work, and due dates. If you can't find it, check in with your teacher.

What do I do if I am absent or miss a class?

Assignments are still due if you miss a day/class. You should check Google Classroom for missing assignments. You can also email, Jupiter message, or text your teacher(s) to find out exactly what you missed and need to make up.

Who do I contact if something is wrong with my schedule? Need my GPA? Looking for scholarships? Need to make-up previous credits? Etc.

Email your guidance counselor, Jodi Then, at jthen@bostongreenacademy.org

What are the COVID protocols for the building?

At the start of the school year, masks are optional. Students and teachers will be provided at home Covid tests every 2 weeks, and should test every Sunday. No one should come to school with Covid-like symptoms, even if they test negative. Please inform your advisor or the school nurse if you test positive for Covid or have been a close contact to get the up-to-date protocols for isolation.

What if my work is late/not turned in on time?

Talk to your teacher. Ask for an extension before hand! We are here to help and will accept late work especially when you communicate with us!
