Hi, I'm Calley Schneider and this is my 2nd year at Waller Elementary serving as the Librarian. I have been teaching for almost 26 years. I have taught subjects in Grades 3rd-7th ranging from Reading, Language!, English Language Arts, STEM, Robotics, Life Science, Computer Science, and Model Rocketry. I graduated from Northwestern State University in 1996.
I am have been married for 25 years to my wonderful husband, Chris Schneider. He is also a teacher in Bossier Parish. We have three wonderful adult kids. Our two daughters are Raenah, a graduate of LSUS, and Katelyn, currently a Junior at LSUS. Our son, Jackson is a Senior at Parkway High School. Our family pet is our dog, Bandit.
I enjoy reading ALL kinds of books. A few of my favorite books are: The Holy Bible, A Wrinkle In Time, Love You Forever, Runaway Bunny, The Scarlet Letter, Words with Wings. I love creating and crafting. My grandma passed on her talent for crochet to me and I love to make things when I am not reading. I love all things LEGO and Marvel Comics, too. I enjoy sharing my love of storytelling with students using mediums such as robotics.
