My name is Emily Roden and I am so excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher! This is my third year teaching at Apollo Elementary, and I actually attended Apollo as a student from 2004-2008! I am overjoyed to be a Rocket! 

I have lived in Bossier Parish my entire life. I graduated from Benton High School in 2017. I graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education.  I am thrilled to give back to the parish that instilled a love for learning in my life! 

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family, friends, and two dogs. You can usually find me at Target with an iced vanilla latte (with oat milk) from Starbucks in my hand! I also love reading and spending time in the sunshine! 

As your child's teacher, I will do my very best to instill a love for learning in their life! I truly believe that the Kindergarten year sets the tone for a child's entire education.  I know we will learn so much this year, academically and socially, as we make new friends and learn the importance of kindness!
