Greetings! My name is Justin James, and it is an honor to begin my second year at AHS as the principal. I am starting my 24th year in the Bossier Parish School System. My teaching career started at Greenacres Middle School in 1996. I taught Physical Education and coached football, basketball, and track. In 2015, I left Greenacres and moved to Haughton Middle School to serve as their Curriculum Coach. In 2016, I moved to Parkway High School as an Assistant Principal, where I have spent the last three years. I loved the community and the people of South Bossier.
I grew up in Shreveport, La in the Queensborough neighborhood. Eventually, my family moved to Blanchard, La where I graduated from Northwood High School. I received a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education/Social Studies from East Texas Baptist University and my Masters in Educational Leadership from Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
I have been married to my wife Lisa for 26 years. We have three sons, Jacob, Josh, and Eli. I spend my spare time fishing and hunting. What I love most is spending time with my family and watching college football. I never pass up an opportunity to thank those who have served our great country and those who are currently serving.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions. To have the opportunity to come back to Airline High School is not just an honor, but a true homecoming. I look forward to building relationships, serving students, their families, stakeholders, and all of the North Bossier community.
