¡Hola! My name is René Islas. I’m from Pachuca Hidalgo, México. I’ve been living in Bossier City for the last 8 years. This is my 8th year teaching Spanish! I have an Engineering degree as well as two Masters’ degrees, one from Bridgewater State University and the second one from Northwestern State University! I taught math for six years in grades 7-11 in Mexico. This is my first year at Parkway and I’m very excited to teach my native language and my culture.
My name is Juan Álvarez. 2020 will be my 12th year teaching. I obtained my Bachelor’s from Northern Arizona University and my Master of Arts in Teaching from Centenary College of Louisiana in 2012. I am a native speaker. In my most recent position, I taught Spanish 3, 4 and Spanish AP Language and Culture at a private school in South Louisiana. I am currently working on my Linguistics degree at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. I am excited to return to Bossier Parish Schools.

¡Saludos a todos! My name is Sarah Jones, and I am a third year Spanish teacher. Born and raised in Ruston, Louisiana, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Louisiana Tech University. I earned my teaching certification through Louisiana College in Pineville, and I will complete my Masters in Teaching in December 2020. My history in immigrant and refugee work in both Chicago and Denver first sparked my desire to invest in language studies. Since graduation I have had the pleasure to work and study abroad twice in Madrid, Spain. I consider it my home away from home; however, there is nothing like being back in Louisiana and close to family. I look forward to teaching my passion and helping my students succeed!

Bonjour! My name is Stacy Clark and I'm the French teacher at Parkway High School. I love French, I love teaching and I love teens, so this is my dream job. This is my 31st year teaching and my 16th year at Parkway. I'm a Yankee transplant, and I received my teaching training at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. While there I studied in France for a semester and have returned there a number of times. I look forward to seeing you in my classes soon!
