About Mrs. Doherty

I am so excited to meet everyone! This is my third year at Princeton teaching 5th Grade ELA. I've previously taught in Bossier Parish at Elm Grove Elementary. I have also taught in New Mexico, Oklahoma and South Dakota!

I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Education from the University of South Dakota, and my Master of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Texas, El Paso. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. .

I have 2 grown sons, Corey and Adam, and 1 granddaughter, Alice. Adam is an Executive Chef at Sun Valley Resort in Idaho. Corey is married and is the proud daddy of Alice. He works at a Chevrolet dealership in South Dakota. Alice will be entering Grade 1 this year, and is the light of my life!

My husband is an Air Force Veteran, and is now retired. My husband and I have 2 fur babies. Our dog, Joe, and cat, Davis. For fun, I like to travel, camp and explore this great country! In fact, I just took a 5,000 mile camping trip with my husband and granddaughter!
