Purpose

The purpose of this proposal is to secure approval and funding for the installation of a full indoor golf simulator at Airline High School. This facility will provide year-round training opportunities, enhance player development, and elevate the overall competitiveness of the Airline Golf Program.

Rationale & Need

Golf is a precision sport that requires consistent practice, data analysis, and repetition—elements that are often limited by:

• Inclement weather

• Limited daylight hours

• Course availability and costs

• Transportation constraints

A golf simulator eliminates these barriers by allowing student-athletes to practice and analyze their performance in a controlled, on-campus environment.

Benefits to Airline High School

• Launch monitor (e.g., TrackMan, Foresight Sports)

• Impact screen and enclosure

• Projector and simulation software

• Hitting mat and turf

• Computer system for data tracking

Estimated Budget

Space Recommendations (attached specs):

• Simulator: 16.5’ wide x 20’ long x 11’ tall.

• Virtual Green: 11’ x 15’ for the smaller size or 14’ x 23’ for the larger size

• Account for at least another 12’ x 16.5’ for seating space
