Timeline- History

Full Implementation:  BISD Established a full 1:1 take-home Chromebook for grades 6-12 in August of 2020.  Elementary levels have full class sets in every grade level as of Fall of 2022

2nd year implementation:  Chromebooks Distributed during Schedule pickup in August

1st year Implementation:  Chromebooks Distributed during Schedule pickup in August and returned May 20th

We distributed 223 Chromebooks for grades 8-12.  

• 223 were returned. (100% return rate)

• Throughout the year we repaired 12 plus 5 going for summer repair. ( .07% repair rate) and 15 lost chargers

  • Gather pricing information

  • Survey result meeting with staff

  • Administration of initiative

  • Develop contract for parents/students

• January 2018

  • Parent/Student meetings for current grades 8-11

    • Parent meeting Agenda - Feb 1, 2018  and Power Point Presentation

  • High School staff meeting

• February 2018

  • Final budget

  • Approval of initiative

• March 2018

  • Staff Chromebook deployment

  • Determine priority list moving forward

• August 2018- May 2019

  • • All HS Students Issued take home Chromebooks
