Q. How do I right click?

Q. The screen is turned sideways. How do I fix it?

A. Hit Ctrl + Shift + Reload until the screen rotates back to normal.


Q. The mouse is HUGE! What happened?

A. An accessibility option has been turned on. If you look in the lower right corner of the screen, there is probably a hand icon. This hand icon indicates that an accessibility option is on. To turn it off, click on the hand and look at the menu items listed. If one is bold and checked, just click on it to turn off. If none of the items are bold, click on settings, and more options will appear. Look through the list and uncheck any accessibility option that is checked.


Q. Everything is locked up! What do I do?

A. Stay calm and restart. 90% of the time, powering off and turning the chrombeook back on will solve the problem.


Q. The sound doesn't work?

A. Check to see if the sound is muted.


Q. How do I take a screen shot on a Chromebook?

Q. How do I switch to full screen mode or how do I switch out of full screen mode?

Q. The shelf disappeared or moved (the shelf is the taskbar at the bottom).

A. If the shelf disappeared, auto hide is probably turned on, so drag your cursor to the bottom of the screen and it should appear. If the shelf has moved, right click over the shelf and choose the position.


Q. How do I pin something to the shelf?

A. Click on the search button. A small Google window will appear. Click on all apps. Right click on the app you want to pin. Choose pin to shelf.


Q. My students can't log on because it wants their old password.

A. Click on proceed anyway. You'll be cautioned about proceeding, but click through and you'll be able to log on with your current password.
