ABOUT THE CLUB
Scotland’s largest female football club, where opportunity, ambition, and community come together.
From our youngest players at age 5 to our senior squad competing in SWPL2 (2025/26 Season), we provide a pathway for girls and women of all abilities to play, develop, and thrive.
Whether you’re discovering the game for the first time or striving for elite performance, Boroughmuir Thistle FC offers a competitive, open, and friendly environment built on confidence, teamwork, and leadership.
We’re proud to run teams across every level:
NextGen Programme: U13, U15 & U17 National Talent Development squads
Youth Performance League : U16 team
SWF Regional Leagues: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 & U18 teams
Senior Teams: Competing at the highest levels of women’s football in Scotland
We also offer coached and non-coached 5-a-side football for women, creating flexible and fun ways to stay active and connected through the game.
Football for boys is available through our partnership with Play2Learn.
Based at Meggetland Sports Complex (EH14 1AS), and at various other local venues, we provide floodlit 3G football all year round for our community.
