Each year, the Borodash Board carefully selects three "Spotlight Beneficiaries" — local non-profit organizations, aiming to raise awareness and strategically allocate funds to initiatives that align with our values.
The final selection of beneficiaries is a challenging task due to many worthy charities seeking additional funds.
We are specifically looking for smaller, local organizations where investment can add substantial value and will measurably improve the applicant’s impact on our community.
Incomplete applications or those not aligned with Borodash's mission are removed from consideration for the current year.
Beneficiaries who have received funds for the past 3 consecutive years are ineligible for the current year, but they may apply again in the future.
Programs should primarily benefit residents of Rutherford County.
Borodash seeks funding opportunities that will have a significant impact on a nonprofit and the communities it serves. This impact can vary widely, from broad-reaching programs to targeted initiatives.
Borodash applauds the initiative of newly formed nonprofits that seek to meet community needs. However, heavier consideration will be given to established nonprofits with a proven history of providing value to the community.
The willingness of individuals to give freely of their time and talents to a non-profit can sometimes speak volumes about the value of that organization to the community. Accordingly, Borodash views volunteer involvement very favorably.
The Borodash Board assess the charity's external fundraising capabilities, particularly those lacking support from governmental or major charitable organizations like the United Way.
Preference is given to charities with smaller budgets and administrative overhead, with prudent financial management demonstrated in previous programs and expenses comparable to similar-sized organizations.
Please review our Guiding Criteria listed above to determine if you are eligable for consideration.
All applications must be submitted by April 15th of the current year.
The Board will announce their selections by the end of April.
Monies raised will be dispersed to our Beneficiaries in December at our annual Celebration Dinner.
