Maddox Kanka
Nominated by Ms. Sakowski (art)
I would like to nominate Maddox Kanka for 2nd grade student of the month. Maddox is an amazing artist, athlete, student, and friend, and I am lucky to have him when I teach Art to Mr. Mitchell’s class. Maddox has a lot of energy and puts his enthusiastic spirit into all the things he accomplishes in and out of the Art room. Even though Maddox gets excited for new activities, he is always ready with his hands folded, letting me know he is ready to learn, no matter what is going on around him. He is kind, courteous, and responsible in class and listens to directions so that he can complete his work independently. I know that whoever I seat Maddox next to I can trust that they will be on task and cooperative and that their creativity will shine. I am very happy to have met Maddox this year and I can’t wait to see what they continue to create.
Benjamin Maskell
Nominated by Ms. Benson (music)
I nominate Ben as Student of the Month. Ben is a kind, cooperative, and enthusiastic student in and out of the classroom. He works well with his peers and is always willing to lend a helping hand to students and teachers alike. It is clear that Ben loves to learn! Ben consistently puts his full effort into his work. He asks questions about taking his learning one step further, which is incredibly admirable. These are just a few reasons why Ben is our Student of the Month!
Ms. Schroeder always helps others. She often puts the needs of her students before even the needs of herself. She is selfless, kind and hard working. She cares about her students and her coworkers! Keep shining Ms. Schroeder!
