Dear Clara Barton Families,

We surely had a fun and exciting week at CBS.  Thanks so much to the PTO and the many parent volunteers that helped with the Book Fair and the 10,000 Flower mural project. Finally, some highlights from our in-house field trip series:  Fossil Fun.  Check it out. 

Playground Update:  completion is pushed back a bit due to the Nor'Easter weather week.  The basketball portion will be ready for Tuesday play and the year one projected compeltion is expected to be complete by the end of October.

REMINDER:  NO SCHOOL Monday October 12, 2026 for teacher in-service.

1. VOTE FOR OUR STAFF! Please take some time to nominate one of our AMAZING CBS staff members for the Governor's Teacher of the Year and/or Educational Support Staff of the Year using this nomination form:  2026-27 Nominations

2. Wawrzyniak Walking Club- back by popular demand, Mrs. W will be running a Wellness Walkers Club.  Students are invited to walk around town with Mrs. W during recess.  No sign up is required, they line up when they want to participate.  We have general permission for walks around town, but if you do NOT want your child participating for any reason, please contact the main office. Start date October 15th (once monthly)- weather pending

3. Attendance Reminder- as per our district policy, the school MUST be notified of student absences or the absences will count at TRUANT.  Warning letters are sent to families after 3, 6, 9 truant absences and can result in further actions.  Please notify the school if your child will be absent.  Thank you!
