Mrs. Lippincott's Class

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Hello! I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to a new and exciting school year in Language Arts here at Bordentown Regional Middle School. We will be working hard this year to develop your child’s knowledge and skills in many areas of Literacy.

A little bit about me... I have been teaching for twenty-two years; nineteen of those years have been right here at BRMS!  I primarily teach Language Arts, with an emphasis in the Resource Room environment.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree as well as dual certifications in Elementary and Special Education from Saint Joseph's University, and received my Master's Degree in Reading Education as well as my Reading Specialist certification from Rowan University.

Together, my husband Matt and I have five beautiful children, and two sweet rescued mutts named Pigeon and Otto.  I am looking forward to a wonderful year ahead with your children.

This year in Language Arts, we will focus heavily on the writing process through intensive workshops, journal writing, and activities,  as well as literature, current events, and making connections between class activities and the "real" world.  My years of experience as a co-teacher and Resource Room teacher of Social Studies will also allow for cross-curricular enrichment.

Our class rules align with the school code.  I am very much looking forward to a positive year ahead.  Please utilize my contact information to ask any questions you may have at any point during the school year.  Open communication will allow us to facilitate a successful year for your child.

Thank you!!

Sincerely,

Carla Lippincott
