5th Grade Volume Animals
Students in Mr. Sabatino and Miss Goldsmith's math classes displayed their volume animals this week! Using boxes, students calculated the different volumes of each box and put together their volume animals. Students had to find the total volume for each of their animals and present them to the class. Great job Fifth Grade!
Fourth Grade Flips for Fractions!
This week, some of our 4th grade students flipped frogs onto lily pads to practice adding, subtracting and renaming fractions. Students had to correctly calcuate the sum and difference based on which lily pad their frog landed on.
Mad Science Assembly
On Wednesday, students in grades 3-5 attended a Mad Science assembly! Students were able to to participate in and see wacky and wild science experiments. Thank you to the Boonton PTA for sponsoring this experience for our students!

Boonton historical society field trip
The Fourth Grade students went on a tour of the Boonton Historical Society this week! They toured the building on Main Street and learned all about the history of Boonton. Thank you to the Boonton Historical Society for welcoming our students and providing this wonderful learning opportunity!
Green Team CARES FOR OUR World
The members of Green Team cleaned up outside our school. The Green Team is asking that all students help to keep our school community clean by throwing all trash into a garbage can.
Geometric Stained Glass
Students in Mrs. Mulcahy's math class have created their own versions of stained glass! Using two-dimensional shapes, students created "stained glass" windows that are completely unique. Students had to create the design, trace, outline, color and describe the shapes that they used. Awesome job fourth grade!
Attention upcoming 8th graders!

8th grade graduation
Eighth grade graduation will take place on Monday, June 20th at 6:30PM at the BHS stadium. Caps and gowns have been distributed and students should hang the gowns to avoid wrinkles the night of graduation. Also, graduation caps must not be decorated for the event.
middle school student chromebooks
Students currently in grades 6-8 will be keeping their Chromebooks during the summer months. Only 8th grade students who ARE NOT attending Boonton High School must return their Chromebooks prior to June 21st. All other students and families please be aware that, as during the school year, the care and well keeping of the 1:1 issued Chromebooks is your responsibility, including during the summer months. The Chromebook & charger should be returned to school in acceptable working condition.
If students are not planning to use their Chromebook for most of the summer, here are some long term storage tips and steps...
For the DELL Chromebook 3100 (our vast majority) and Chromebook 3180 Models (noted on the underside of device) - Long Term Storage Steps : Dell Chromebooks should completely shut down (not just by closing the screen lid) after they have been fully charged when not intending to be used for long periods of time (several weeks or longer) should be placed in "Battery Cut-off Mode" (see below). Chromebooks should be stored in a safe, cool & dry location, away from all moisture & any pets. Upon returning, students are responsible for any devices returned in an unusable or damaged condition. The District issued protective cases should be left on the Chromebook at all times when it is used or stored. This will include the responsibility of the financial cost of a replacement device if the Chromebook is damaged or deemed to not have been stored properly. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
