Through our TAKE Flight Enrichment program, students in 6th grade are currently preparing and interdisciplinary STEAM museum for our 4th grade students to participate in. The upcoming event has students very excited! Currently, our 6th graders are testing out their designs to make sure the event is a learning experience for all!

Students celebrated Love of Reading Week by participating in a variety of spirit days (including dress like your favorite story character - see below) and activities. A special highlight of the week occurred when Mrs. Davis and Ms. Cechony visited each of our elementary classrooms to present students with the gift of a book in celebration of Dr. Seuss' Birthday. We are very appreciative of their time, the generosity of the PTA, and the continued support of our students' reading, learning, and growing!

Preschool students in Miss Walker's class read a Dr. Suess book each day during literacy time, dressed as favorite book characters, brought in favorite books to read, and much more! In dramatic play, students began building a "Pets & Vets" theme. We have been focusing on learning about the pet owner, groomer and veterinarian roles. Last week, students in Mrs. Kelly and Ms. Toledo's third grade class took some art class time to create surprise 'congratulations' cards for Ms Toledo. Ms. Toledo, who is currently student teaching under Mrs. Kelly's mentorship, was recently inducted into the International Honor Society of Education! Congratulations Ms. Toledo!
