LOVE OF READING WEEK TO OCCUR NEXT WEEK
Next week, our students will be celebrating Love of Reading Week with a variety of activities designed to encourage reading along with the lessons learned and adventures gained through an exploration of literature. Mrs. Sudak and the Student Council teamed up to create spirit days that will be announced to the students on Monday. Please see the flyer below for more details. Thanks to the coordination, thoughtfulness, and generosity of the PTA, elementary students will also be receiving the gift of a book in keeping with one of our favorite traditions to encourage reading.
Congratulations to Tehreem c
Tehreem was the lucky winner of a piece Junior Bomber spirit wear! Congratulations Tehreem and thank you for being such a positive member of our school community. In the month of January we focused on Soaring Together as Bombers. Tehreem was nominated and ultimately chosen as the recipient of the PTA sponsored spirit wear giveaway! Keep Soaring JHS!
students take advantage of WINTER weather to engage in stem challenge
3rd grade students participated in a design your own sled activity as a means of putting their creative minds to work and also to gain further practice with STEM practices.
Students construct space exploration rovers
Fifth grade scientists learned about Perseverance, a space rover that just landed on Mars! Then, students were faced with the task of creating their very own rover that will land safely on a different planet. Students are very excited to jump into their space unit!

School picture dates have been set for March 2nd and 4th. In person A Cohort and B Cohort pictures will be taken during morning hours. Fully remote learners will be welcome for walk-in pictures from 12:30-4:00 in the gym on these dates. All individuals will be required to complete a COVID health screening form upon arrival. Information from our picture company, Lifetouch, will be coming through email.
