JOHN HILL SCHOOL

Weekly Update 12/3/21

JHS TOY DRIVE IS UNDERWAY AND GOING STRONG!

The JHS Student Council is holding their Annual Holiday Toy Drive. New toys are being collected and will be donated to the Boonton Town Hall for distribution to our local families in need. Toys can be dropped off in the JHS Main Office until Thursday, December 9th. Students should indicate their homeroom teacher's name on their donation. There will be a special pizza party prize for the homeroom that contributes the most toys! We appreciate your help in making this a joyous holiday season!

WILD WELLNESS WEDNESDAY SET FOR 12/8

All Junior Bombers are encouraged to wear their wildest outfit on Wednesday as we partake in a "Wellness Wedensday" theme day. We will have a central message about mindfulness and self care that we will be focusing on together.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO TAKE HEALTH PRECAUTIONS

We continue to closely monitor the health situation in our school and surrounding area and ask for your continued support in taking precautions to keep our community safe and healthy. Please be mindful of any symptoms of illness and do not send your child to school if symptomatic. The daily health screener serves as a critical guide in determining if a child is well enough to come to school and it is important that this be completed each day prior to students leaving their homes.

pta sponsors the "signature project" for middle school students

A giant thank you to the PTA for sponsoring "The Signature Project" assembly for grades 6-8. The engaging multi sensory program was thoroughly enjoyed by students and staff alike. Mr. Dunning's inspirational message of love and kindness, conveyed through art, was a wonderful reminder as we enter the holiday season. We feel privileged to have contributed our signatures to this powerful project completed around the world.

MONDAY DECEMBER 6th is an EARLY DISMISSAL DAY
