Entering Second Grade in 2025-2026

Hello incoming second-grade families, 

September will be here before you know it, and the second-grade teachers can not wait to meet you all and start our journey of learning together. This page is here to help your child stay active with their learning over the summer. We recommend that you have your child read each day for at least 15-20 minutes. They should also be encouraged to read aloud to you or a family member as well. We also recommend practicing math facts over the summer to help improve mastery. We have links on our page that will allow your child access to thousands of great stories with sites that allow them to pick books at their level. There are also games to help maintain and improve math skills. We hope that you take advantage of these resources so that you keep your first-grade skills and can start second grade strong. We look forward to meeting everyone and having a great year!
