Dear Boonton Bomber Families,

It was wonderful to have our students filling our hallways and classrooms once again on Thursday and Friday. There is nothing more uplifting than the energy of a school building, and we are so very happy to have welcomed our students back to school. I offer a special welcome to all of the new students and families within our district. Boonton Public Schools is part of a wonderfully student-centered community; we span the two towns of Lincoln Park and Boonton, have a proud history and legacy to build upon, and are grateful to have you joining us as we work together to build bright futures for our students!

We have a remarkable team of educators at Boonton Public Schools, and I could not be more grateful for all of the extra efforts that went into making this week's return to school a success. Thank you to our Boonton Schools Team! Thank you also to our community for the tremendous outpouring of support you have provided throughout this week. It has provided much comfort in our time of loss and has been a source of strength as we've come together to begin the school year.

In this week's Back to School Bulletin, I am glad to share some quick updates from our abbreviated week as well as a link to our Virtual Backpack. Thank you for taking the time to explore. FACILITY UPGRADES AT BOONTON SCHOOLS

It was a busy summer throughout the district and we were glad to have some upgraded facilities for the return of school as a result. Upgrades include re-establishing the aesthetic of the high school hallways, updating the high school main office, upgrading security door features, resurfacing all parking lots, installing basketball hoops and resurfacing the playground at John Hill School, refurbishing School Street School bathrooms, installing new scoreboards, and more. Some pictures of the work are included below.

One excellent way to support our students is to cheer them on in their athletics competitions. Our teams have been hard at work and have enjoyed an excellent start to the fall season. Pictured below are two of our early highlights: the Bomber Football Team celebrating a victory in Coach Sean Norton's first game leading the squad and the Bomber Field Hockey Team in the process of scoring a goal during their victory over Mountain Lakes. Way to go Bombers! You make us proud! For upcoming athletics events, please view the linked Boonton Bomber Athletics Schedule. Of special note, the football game originally scheduled for this evening has been rescheduled to Saturday at 6pm in Parsippany.
