Dear Boonton Bomber Families,

This week, all of our district schools participated in "Week of Respect" celebrations and activities. At Boonton Public Schools, respect is foundational to our goals of enriching lives and empowering tomorrow's leaders. The week's activities included classroom lessons, school-wide theme days, and other events designed to emphasize the critical role that respect plays in our community. It was wonderful to witness the participation of our students, staff, and community members in the many activities that promoted respect, compassion, and an understanding that our individual qualities serve as our collective strength.

In this week's bulletin, you will find updates from our schools and important district reminders and information. As a friendly reminder, students are not in session this coming Monday. Have an excellent weekend!

Sincerely,

Thomas Valle
Acting Superintendent

STRATEGIC PLANNING UPDATE TO BE PROVIDED AT MONDAY'S BOE MEETING

Last winter and spring, our district engaged in a strategic planning process in collaboration with the New Jersey School Boards Association. This process brought together stakeholders from throughout the community to assess the impacts and efforts of our schools, to envision ways that we can best serve our students and community, and to establish goals and objectives to guide our efforts in the years to come.

At our Board of Education meeting on Monday, October 10th, I will provide a more detailed overview of the goals and objectives established. In addition, our district administrative team is developing an action plan to align with our strategic planning outcomes. We will be sharing more information and welcoming community feedback as we progress in developing the action plan. The strategic plan and correlating action plan will be finalized by the end of this calendar year. The strategic planning process remains a collaborative effort, and I welcome any questions or feedback you may have.

GAINING ALTITUDE ACROSS GRADES PK-12

One of the many highlights of the start of this school year was the opportunity join members of our Board of Education in showcasing and celebrating the impact of our schools during Boonton Day. Among the slideshows and handouts that were available was a brief overview of some of the programs that our schools offer as students make their journey as a Boonton Bomber. That handout is included below and offers a snapshot of preschool through grade 12 opportunities. If you have any questions about our programming, please do not hesitate to contact me or any members of our team. We take great pride in the opportunities provided to our students and are always eager to expand upon them.
