Dear Boonton Bomber Families,
This week provided an opportunity for Boonton Public Schools to welcome many special guests as members of our team during this week's National Take Your Child to Work Day. We were very grateful to have had so many of our staff's family members join the Boonton Schools family for the day. The contributions that our extra hands on deck brought to our schools, and of course the extra smiles (as seen below), were greatly appreciated!
As Monday is the first Monday of the month, we will have an early dismissal day for students as our staff members participate in professional development activities. Next week will also bring Staff Appreciation Week at Boonton Schools, the performance of Shrek the Musical Junior, continuation of our spring sports seasons, and more. Additional information and other highlights from our schools are included in this week's bulletin.

AUTISM ACCEPTANCE MONTH
Throughout April, each of our schools participated in various activities to raise acceptance and awareness of autism. Students engaged in lessons and wellness activities within their classes to learn more about autism, and each student across the district also wrote a unique fact about themselves on different colored infinity signs. Collages/installations were then created with students' collective contributions to showcase everyone's uniqueness and Autism Acceptance. The rainbow infinity symbol has been adopted by the community of people with autism as it is used to represent neurodiversity and the idea that there is no one right way of thinking, learning, and behaving. We appreciate everyone's efforts as we participated in Autism Awareness activities and especially the Department of Special Services for leading these initiatives.
JHS PRESENTS SHREK THE MUSICAL JUNIOR NEXT WEEK
The JHS Drama Club has been working especially hard and is looking forward to presenting Shrek the Musical Junior next week! We encourage our students, families, and fellow community members to join us on May 4th and 5th at 6:30 pm for what is sure to be a fun-filled musical performance! Tickets may be purchased at the door: $6 for students and $8 for adults.
