K-8 Media Center

My name is Ms. Trina Hellbusch. My teaching career began in 2000 at St. Michael's School in Albion, NE. I joined Boone Central School district in 2004 teaching at District 57 and then joined the Middle School campus at Petersburg in 2006 when the country schools were closed. I took on the position of Elementary Media Specialist in 2017 teaching K-5 students both library and technology skills at the Albion campus. 

In 2021, our Petersburg campus closed and the Middle School was relocated in a new building in Albion connecting to the High School and Elementary. As part of the construction, the library space moved and is now functioning as a PreK-8 library. Classes for Library and Technology are scheduled for K-4 and meet weekly.  Preschool meets twice a week for library and Middle School students check out books when the library space is available. It is a very busy space all week!

I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska and after graduating made my home in Albion. I received my Undergrad and Graduate degrees at University of Nebraska, Kearney. I have a blended and blessed family with eight littles calling me grandma, and when at school they do their best to call me Ms. Hellbusch:)
