CRAFTING
Crafting allows you to practice many skills including planning, patience, following directions, fine motor skills, problem-solving, focus, and perseverance. So...choose something you want to make...it can be a gift, something for your room decor, something useful to you (pencil holder, etc) Look for materials you have around your house.
Design a Journal
To really “own” your journal, I you need to make a personal touch. Therefore, Find an empty notebook, notepad, binder, etc. This will become your PERSONAL JOURNAL! Now, design or color something that makes you HAPPY on the front page. This can be a painting, a picture, a sketch, a phrase,...be creative! Make it YOUR own! Now, use the journal to sketch & write your thoughts/feelings, things you LOVE, things that bother you! It helps to get your thoughts OUT! Release them!
Make a Selfie Portrait
Print your favorite selfie of yourself! Around the selfie, make up hashtags of your best qualities to illustrate who YOU are. Some hashtags might include #hardworking, #intelligent, or #kind.
EMOTION ART
There are different emotions including sadness, anger, worry, and happiness. Find & Paint colors that go along with each emotion. For an extension, color with different shades of each emotion. For example, feeling irritated might be a light orange shade while feeling enraged might be a dark red.
Positive Notes
Print off and COLOR your own POSITIVE MINDSET POSTERS. Hang them on your wall, your mirror, in the bathroom, and anywhere you might need to remember YOU ARE IMPORTANT!

Be My Best Self Hat Craft
When you are having a very hard day, create a Best Self Hat and put it on! Look in the mirror and say 3 times, “I am SMART, I am KIND, I am IMPORTANT!”
Positive Thoughts & Affirmations
Look through the list of different thoughts & affirmations. Choose 4-5 you think will help you! Write these down on post-it notes around your desk or on your mirror to help remind you!
Play a Game
Playing a game with a friend or family member can help refocus your mind. Pictionary, charades, Sorry, cards, Name that Tune, etc are great games to interact with others.
Listen to Music...
Turn on your favorite song and dance around or just sing out loud!
